Welcome to The Book Stylists. These Terms of Business apply to all orders placed with us online or via custom request. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.

1. Our Products & Disclaimers

• Nature of Goods: We sell books by the metre primarily intended for display and aesthetic purposes, not for reading.

• Condition & Variance: Unless a precise specification is agreed upon in advance, books will vary in height, width, colour, and content. Where a specific colour is agreed, this refers strictly to the spine of the book; the front and back boards may differ.

• Defects & Curation: Because these are display items, some pages may be annotated, some pages may be missing, and titles may occasionally be duplicated. Books may contain historical content or language that is reflective of the era in which they were printed and may not align with modern societal standards. We accept no responsibility or liability for the text content of the books supplied.

• Imagery: All imagery on our website is for illustrative purposes only. The exact titles and bundles you receive will differ from the photographs.

2. Pricing and Availability

All prices are shown at the time of order configuration and are processed in Pounds Sterling (GBP).

In the rare event that an item becomes unavailable after an order is placed, we reserve the right to cancel the order and will issue a full, immediate refund. The Book Stylists shall not be liable for any secondary losses or consequential damages arising from an order cancellation.

3. Shipping & Delivery

• UK Shipping: Standard delivery to the UK is free of charge and typically completed within 5 working days from receipt of cleared payment. Customized delivery schedules (expedited or delayed) can be arranged by prior agreement and may incur additional fees.

• International Shipping: For delivery addresses outside of the UK, please contact us for an individual shipping quotation before purchasing.

• Delivery Addresses: We will only deliver to verified private residential or commercial business addresses provided at the time of checkout. Tracking information will be supplied upon dispatch.

• Loss in Transit: Please monitor your tracking information. If your order has not arrived within 7 days of your dispatch notification, please contact us immediately so we can investigate with the courier.

4. Returns, Cancellations & Refunds

Because our products are curated for specific aesthetic requirements and are subject to the inherent variances outlined in Section 1, they cannot be deemed “faulty” or “not as described” based on variations in height, width, title content, or minor natural wear.

Our return eligibility rules are strictly limited by order size to prevent the unauthorized short-term hire of our display stock (e.g., for photoshoots or temporary staging):

For Private Consumers (Personal Use):

• Orders of 2 Metres or Less: In accordance with UK statutory rights, you have 14 days from the date of delivery to notify us that you wish to return a standard stock online order of 2 metres or less. You are responsible for the cost of return postage. Items must be returned in their original condition; any loss in value due to inadequate repackaging or transit damage will be deducted from your refund.

• Orders Exceeding 2 Metres: Due to the bulk sourcing and curation involved, orders exceeding 2 metres are strictly non-refundable and cannot be returned for a change of mind.

• Bespoke & Custom Orders: Any bespoke, custom-tailored, or personal orders made to your specific project dimensions or color requirements are completely non-refundable once production or sourcing has commenced, regardless of length.

For Business & Trade Clients (B2B):

• Any transit damage, shortages, or delivery discrepancies must be reported to us in writing within 48 hours of delivery.

• Requests for returns on standard online orders (strictly 2 metres or less) must be made within 48 hours of delivery and are subject to a 17.5% restocking fee. The client is responsible for all return shipping costs.

• All trade orders exceeding 2 metres, as well as any bespoke, custom, or bulk trade orders, are strictly non-refundable.

5. Intellectual Property

All written content, website design, layout, and imagery on this website are the property of The Book Stylists. You may not copy, reproduce, or use any part of this website for commercial purposes without our express written consent. Personal, non-commercial sharing is permitted provided clear attribution to The Book Stylists is maintained.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
